Do you want to build a Harrier, in miniature? We may have just the book for you!
This book is the culmination of my years of love for the Harrier and as such, brings together some of the models that I have built and features that I have written, to reflect that abiding passion. Though there have been a number of fine books on the subject, it has been some time since one has been published that concerns itself solely with modelling the Harrier and nothing else – and that is perhaps what sets this title apart for fans of this iconic aircraft
Within this extended 80-page A4 modelling guide, you will find four individual features that tell the story of four very different models, approached in four very different ways. From the simplicity of my almost ‘out of the box‘ build of the Airfix 1:72 Harrier GR.3, through to the dainty detailing of Revell’s 1:144 Harrier GR.7, to the complex reworking of Hasegawa/Revell’s 1:48 GR.9A and onto the advanced, almost unrecognisable conversion of the huge Airfix 1:24 GR.1 into the streamlined T.2, there’s much to enjoy, much to absorb and –– hopefully –– much to learn from.
HOW TO ORDER…
As with previous titles, this one is being created as a strictly limited-run product and as before, the price reflects this. Many of you will already have the other books in your collections so — hopefully — will know what this means in terms of quality and how enjoyable it is to own something that’s rather niche in its approach!
Here you will find payment links should you wish to purchase a copy of this new book. You will notice that I have included a link for modellers that wish to pay in advance for a copy and then pick it up over the weekend of the IPMS Scale Model World show (thus saving on considerable postage costs!). If you are attending SMW 2019 in Telford and want a book to pick up, please drop me a line at firstname.lastname@example.org or via PM on my Facebook page and I will add you to my reserved list and take your copy to the show to be paid for there, but please note: if you would like to reserve a copy and pay at the show, I will be able to do that, but only if I have any copies left from the initial print run and you’ve contacted me. As usual, I’m planning to print a limited number of these books, so will be selling them on a strict ‘first come, first serve’ basis and once they are gone, I will only reprint them if demand is there! So, please let me know, early! And finally, they will not be available from a third party – the only way to get a copy is from me, direct. Hmm… I think that’s everything! Oh yeah, all postal copies will be sent out during the two weeks following the show, so with luck, everyone that’s ordered a copy to be posted out will receive theirs around the end of November, beginning of December.
Here are the links for confirmation and payment as usual, ready for your book to be posted out or collected:
UK Orders including postage and packing: £30 – PayPal.Me/DavidP671/30
Europe Orders including postage and packing: £32.50 – PayPal.Me/DavidP671/32.50
Rest Of World including postage and packing: £35 – PayPal.Me/DavidP671/35
When using the Paypal links, please can you ensure that you do the following:
Leave a full name and mailing address and if you have reserved a copy under a screen name such as seen on here, that as well please. Sometimes its easy to click the link, but not add additional details, so please, if you can, fill in your COMPLETE address so that I can simply cut and paste it for use on the mailing labels and envelopes. If I can’t find your address or full name, I can’t send out the book, so the more information I have, the easier and more efficient it will be!
If you need to contact me about anything to do with the book, place an order, or have any other questions, please either leave a message here, or contain me using my email address:
So for now, that’s just about it with the book, all that needs to be done now to complete the proofreading and get everything off to the printers ready for release at the show and then to be posted out over the following two weeks. Thank you all so much for you support with this project and for taking the time to read this update. I hope that you enjoy the book when it arrives and hope that you all have a wonderful day. Thanks so much!
Spencer Pollard, October 2019.
